Rustig en mooi en so ontspannend.
Mooiste plekkie langs die rivier. Huisie is baie baie gerieflik en ruim. WiFi was baie goed. Als wat mens nodig het, is hier. Beslis plek om weer te besoek.

Wat 'n heerlike, rustige 42j huweliksherkenking kon ons hier vier!(ten spijte van ysige koue). Om na al die geluide van die natuur te luister was musiek vir ons siel. Dankie vir 'n wonderlike skoon chalet. Jul sien ons weer!

We loved staying at Hippo View. It was exactly what we needed - nature, a swimming pool, good nights' rest and the bush. The communication was great and Marietha was very helpful with check-in. Did not have any troubles (apart from Eskom's load shedding). Beds slept comfortably, the view is excellent and everything one might need is in the house.

What a lovely place:) Peaceful, and tranquil. The host is friendly and very considerate. They are considerate towards families with kids - and that is why they have the warnings on their listing. This really helps to prepare us as a family. The aircons are lovely, especially in the heat. The layout of the home is perfect for a week/ weekend getaway with family and friends. Highly recommended.

Hi , It was a great place to stay. We loved it. It was a good experience, cannot forget seeing the hippos, monkeys and crocks from the unit. The unit overall was very clean and comfy. Having your own splash pool was so refreshing. We would consider this place again in future. Thank you.

We have been fortunate to be able to stay at Hippo View Chalet - and yes there is a river view, there are resident hippos in front of the chalet, there is a sparkling pool (a necessity when it hits 40 degrees), there is a chalet with all the modern amenities one needs. Peter and Marjolein with the help of Zelda are perfect hosts, always available and making sure that our holiday is care free. I certainly hope that we will be able to visit again - we came back from our holiday refreshed and re-energised and certainly hope that we will visit again soon.

Fantasties. Absoluut 'n puik plek, het krokodille elke dag gesien, soveel as seekoeie, impalas, koedoes, en dan natuurlik die apies, ek beveel die plek aan vir iemand wat wil wegbreek om te herlaai, absoluut puik, ek gee hulle 5 sterre vir alles.

This place was a perfect little oasis. The monkeys were added entertainment. The place had all of the things you would need for a short stay in the bush. The bugs were a bit friendly than we would have liked but thankfully the doors have screens and the beds have nets. The hosts were very kind and welcoming.

Hippo View Chalet has everything we want during a holiday: comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, a pool to cool down and most importantly a view to die for. The hippos in the river made our stay! We braaied on the deck and listened to their sounds in the meantime. Really a once in a lifetime experience!

Fantastic river views, with a lovely pool and braai [bbq] area! We saw hippos, small buck, and an abundance of bird life during our stay. We would definitely recommend it!

What a beautiful place. I searched very long to find something that had al the elements I needed. A river, peace and quiet, and hippos (favorite animal). She came to say goodbye every day. This place is extremely safe. The deck is amazing. Very nicely done to allow one to take in most of the scenery. The rooms are spacious, clean and neatly set out.
I will definitely visit again.

Magical family holiday, extremely close to nature.
We had the best stay at Ekuthuleni Hippo View Chalet with our 3 children. The unit is on the river and from around 18:00 we could see the hippo’s coming out of the river. Best place to relax away from the city. You are set in nature. To be honest, we intended to go to the Kruger National park for game viewing, but ended up staying on our patio watching the hippo’s, monkeys, alligators and bucks playing in front of us. The unit is safe, with a guard at the gate, and lovely walking trails to enjoy in the morning. The kids loved playing put put which was a small walk from the unit. Marietha and Marjolein were amazing. They ensured that we were looked after all the time. I cannot wait to go again. We loved every second.

Great stay at Hippo View ! We enjoyed the outdoor entertainment area with sparkling pool. The deck is great for alfresco dining and the river view with residents Hippos ensured constant entertainment. The chalet is well appointed, super clean and the kitchen had everything we needed to dish up a no fuss meal. We will definitely visit again!

Great views and a good location to visit the Kruger National Park during the day. There is a mini-golf course which was very popular with the kids. Will definitely stay there again if we’re in the area👍🏼

Great value for money. Hippos, Crocs, Waterbuck and many more species right in front of your Balcony. Even lucky enough to hear a Leopard calling the second night right at the entrance but couldn’t see him. Will be back!

It is really a beautiful setting on the river. The home as absolutely everything we needed. The pool on the deck was such a treat and we spent many hours watching the hippos and birds from the veranda. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Clean, comfy and great value for money.

Die chalet was baie goed ingerig en ons het alles gehad wat ons nodig het. Alles was netjies, skoon en in 'n goeie toestand. Die uitsig oor die rivier was pragtig, dit was heerlik om te kyk na die seekoeie terwyl jy in die swembad ontspan. Ekuthuleni Hippo View Chalet het ons verwagtinge oortref en ons sal dit definitief aanbeveel vir iemand wat opsoek is na 'n rustige wegbreek!

We stayed at this amazing place for a few days on our way to Kruger National Park, but we could have stayed weeks! Beautiful home, very clean and most importantly: the out-of-this-world deck with private pool, from where we saw hippos, waterbuck, crocodiles (in the river), and much more. The guard at the gate was also very friendly. The perfect stop between the Panorama Route and Kruger (gate is only 35 minutes away)! We'll definitely come back here on our next trip!
